The Annual Meeting, which is open to all, will occur alongside the General Assemblies of CEN and CENELEC. At the kind invitation of the Romanian Standards Association (ASRO), all events will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, Romania. The annual meeting will focus on the pressing topic of market surveillance and ways that European Standards (ENs) can further assist in the development of efficient infrastructures to coordinate market surveillance policy and processes.

The application of European Standards (ENs) is a concrete way for manufacturers to demonstrate a products’ compliance with the essential requirements of European Directives requiring ‘presumption of conformity’. Strengthening the market through effective surveillance and the key role standards can play will be key points during the contributions and panel discussion.
