The IT helpdesk is the first point of contact for CENELEC staff, members, affiliates, partners seeking technical assistance for CENELEC IT tools and applications. He/she serves as a member of the Electronic Data Processing Unit by providing technical support over the phone and in person, and maintaining the smooth operation of the collaborative tools. He/She will be also responsible of the training programs for the new users of the CLC IT tools. The IT Help Desk is under the supervision of the EDP Manager. Candidate Profile: You have • 3 to 5 years’ experience in IT Helpdesk. Graduate in a related field • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others • Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone and training skills, previous customer service experience strongly desired • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it. • Experience with Lotus Notes and/or Oracle is an asset • fluent in English (our working language) and a good knowledge of French and German • Proficient with MS Office tools • Creativity. Ability to think around problems and come up with creative solutions is helpful. • an adaptability to work in an evolving environment • an open and spontaneous character • good communication skills • time management skill

Job description: Reports to: EDP Unit Manager • Primary responsibility is user support and customer service. Be present and visible in the Help Desk and available to users requiring technical assistance. • Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware and other office equipment. • Ensure co-ordination with other relevant organisations • Support and manage access rights related to different applications • Manage the relevant data our stakeholders in our (Oracle) database • Create and maintain mailing lists • Maintain and elaborate internal documentation(procedure/manual/guide) • Respond to questions from callers and walk-in, remotely assists users with IT problems. • Become familiar with available help resources; stay updated on IT technology changes or problems. • Become familiar with CENELEC policies, services, staff and users
