CENELEC maintains a very close and relevant relationship with both the European Commission and the EFTA Secretariat. This partnership has been reinforced in March 2003 with the signature of the General Guidelines for the Cooperation between CEN, CENELEC and ETSI and the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association.
